Delta Community Garden- Located at 506 N. Palmer St., Delta, CO
As a community we need to keep helping our planet. Together we can learn sustainably and continue to grow and learn. Community gardens can enrich family and promote community engagement. Gardens provide opportunities to teach future generations of gardeners and farmers, and support native cultures, plants, and pollinators.
Our vision is to support and promote garden education and healthy eating in Delta County. We believe that, through hands on hand education, we can help the community build skills to become more self-reliant and provide healthy food options for their families. To provide a safe, peaceful, and educational environment for individuals and businesses to share their knowledge and expertise as it pertains to horticulture, composting, pollination and sustainable food production.

We broke ground on the Community Garden in Fall of 2023. The Delta County Board of Realtors was the first group to invest in the project providing the funds required to build the fences for the garden. We would like to thank them for embracing our vision !
The garden was not built over night it took many days and volunteers. This was greenhouse building day. The wind was not our friend that day but over the course of several days we were able to complete the project.
