SUMMARY

Under the direct supervision of the Facility/Front Desk Coordinator will perform necessary duties as assigned for the Facility/Front Desk Department for the recreation center.  These duties will include administration, money handling and customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

Operate cash register to perform financial transactions for daily admission for the facility, memberships, pro shop sales, activities and facility reservations, including a completing a daily drawer balance.
Promote a welcoming and friendly environment, by learning names of patrons and consistently enforcing city and regulations and policies.
Complete and maintain Company Billings including (Hotel, Hospital, Navy, Cadets, DIP, Therapy).
Assisting in recruiting and maintaining Business Fit Accounts.
Responsible for Silversneakers and Silver & Fit eligibility and monthly billing.
Assist Facility/Front Desk Coordinator in reports necessary to brainstorm, meet and exceed goals for budget purposes.
Give tours of the facility.
Work with other departments within the recreation center to increase awareness of programs and cohesive plans to promote and streamline registrations.
Responsible for opening and closing the facility as needed.
Assist in set-up and take down for events or programs as assigned.
Monitor patron behavior for safety activity and report to supervisor immediately.
Other duties as assigned.

Possess strong interpersonal skills and communicate effectively both verbally and written form.
Possess excellent pro-active customer service skills.
Ability to input and process information on Excel, Rec Trac and other similar computer software applications.
Ability to understand cash control.
Ability to keep and maintain written daily reports pertinent to facility operations and procedures.
Will be required to complete and successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and certification in CPR and first aid or able to obtain certification within six months of hire.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Any combination of graduation from high school, with at least 2 years of related experience in facility operations and cash handling.
Experience in developing contracts, maintaining records, and prepare clear and accurate reports.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Proficient in English, Other languages helpful.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Advanced math skills required.
