City of Delta Provides Update on Delta Revitalizing Main Street Project
Delta, CO — The City of Delta continues to make steady progress toward the execution of the Delta Revitalizing Main Street Project, funded through a RAISE Grant sponsored by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Highway Administration (FHWA).
The City has successfully completed the majority of the project’s Design Phase, marking a significant milestone in the effort to enhance and revitalize Delta’s Main Street corridor. The next step in the process is securing federal approval to obligate funds for the construction phase.
While the City had anticipated this approval occurring within the original estimated timeframe, review and authorization of federally funded projects across the State of Colorado have experienced significant delays due to factors beyond the City’s control.
The Delta Revitalizing Main Street Project represents a transformational investment in the community’s infrastructure, safety, accessibility, and economic vitality. City leadership remains committed to delivering these improvements and appreciates the community’s patience throughout the federal review process.
