After careful consideration of current local and regional conditions, the Delta Volunteer Fire Department in coordination with the City, have decided to postpone the July 4th fireworks display. Public safety is our highest priority and this is the safest course of action for our community. A rescheduled date has not yet been determined and will depend on future variables. In light of the current fire risk, Stage 2 Fire Restrictions are now in effect throughout Delta County. We encourage everyone to familiarize themselves with the restrictions and do their part to help prevent wildfires. While the fireworks show has been postponed, the celebration is far from over! The Western Sky Balloon Festival is still set to deliver an incredible Independence Day weekend packed with hot air balloons, a spectacular drone show, parade, live entertainment, food trucks, vendors, family activities, a foam party, and so much more.
